The NASA Aeronautics Research Institute of the space agencys Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) is currently seeking multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary team-based research for its Leading Edge Aeronautics Research for NASA (LEARN) program. Proposals must clearly describe an innovative, broadly based research concept addressing one or more of the ARMDs strategic objectives safe, efficient growth in global operations innovation in commercial supersonic aircraft ultra-efficient commercial vehicles transition to low-carbon propulsion real-time system-wide safety assurance, and assured autonomy for aviation transformation. The concept should also have the potential to develop into technologies of interest to the ARMD or to commercial aerospace companies. Proposals for research projects with a projected start date of Jan. 1, 2015, are due Aug. 20.
